Bluegreens Forum 2018

Saturday, 28 April 2018 to Sunday, 29 April 2018 from 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Bangor Farm, Darfield, New Zealand

20th Annual Bluegreens Forum 2018 | Darfield

Our 2018 Bluegreen Forum will celebrate 20 years of the Bluegreens, making us National’s longest-running special interest group. Bluegreens are part of a new generation of thinkers who believe that successful economic and environmental policy can and must go hand in hand in order to provide a cleaner, greener, brighter future for all New Zealanders.

It would be great to have you with us at Forum 2018 as we discuss, debate and help formulate conservation and environmental policy important to all New Zealanders.

Darfield in Canterbury provides an outstanding location for our annual forum, only 35 minutes from Christchurch airport. The combination of stunning scenery and environmentally unique features guarantees attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy one of New Zealand’s most beautiful regions as well as participating in important policy work.

Early registration is encouraged and can be completed on line or with the attached form.

Bluegreen Forums are open to all members of the NZ National Party and many external environmental organisations also attend. We hope you, and others interested in the environment, are able to join us.

For more information please call 0800 255 266, email bluegreens or click here to view the registration form.

Saturday 28 April

Forum 2018 will be focusing on issues like Climate Change; Irrigation; War on Waste; Conservation and more, featuring National Party Spokespeople, experts from NGOs and Industry, as well as a Keynote Address from National Party Leader Hon Simon Bridges.

The programme runs from approximately 9.00am until 5.30pm (including morning tea, lunch and afternoontea) and also features an optional dinner with guest speaker.

Sunday 29 April
Our traditional Sunday fieldtrip will be visiting Canterbury irrigation schemes.

A reliable water supply for growers and farmers has major potential to boost economic growth, creating jobs and exports in the regions. At the same time these schemes can deliver real environmental benefits by maintaining river flows and recharging groundwater aquifers. Let us know when registering if you are interested in joining us.
